Grappling lines and wall jumps move Batman through original stages in Batman: The Video Game, Sunsoft's NES game that borrows the 1989 film's look without retelling the movie. Gotham's warehouses and mechanical shafts are new routes, not a walk through the film's scenes in order.
The wall jump and the grappling line are the verbs. A shot from the gadget and a cling to the brick replace a straight brawler's punch.
Sunsoft built those stages for the NES, and a Game Boy version exists beside them. The film supplies the silhouette, while the wall jump and the line are how this Batman actually travels.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
