History

Drawn ink is the control stick in Kirby: Canvas Curse. Kirby is a ball, and the player paints a path for him to roll along instead of walking him with a pad.

HAL Laboratory and Nintendo built the DS game entirely around the touch screen in 2005. Drawcia's curse is why the hero is a ball. Drawcia cursed Kirby into that rolling form, and medals reward a line that also collects the stage's treasures.

Rainbow lines fade, so a long stroke is a timed platform. No other Kirby of its era asks the player to be the floor.
