History

High Voltage Software built LEGO Racers in 1999 for LEGO Media, a kart racer whose cars are made of bricks. Nintendo 64 received that game, and Game Boy Color received a smaller circuit set.

You assemble a minifigure driver and a brick chassis, then line up against LEGO champions. Studs and spare pieces change the car between heats, which is the toy-box hook a plain kart game never had.

The console cup has the fuller track list. The color cartridge trims the calendar of races while still using those minifigure rivals, so the two editions share a garage fantasy and not a single course list.
