History

Phazon corruption fuels hypermode in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Samus crosses several planets in a PED suit, and the meter that grants the overpowered visor also punishes staying in it too long.

Retro Studios and Nintendo closed the original Prime trilogy on Wii in 2007. Hypermode on the PED suit is a timed risk. Norion, Bryyo, Elysia, and the Pirate Homeworld are separate landings, with Aurora Units and Dark Samus tying the Federation plot together.

The Wii remote aims the arm cannon. Hypermode is the risk the trilogy's last chapter adds, not a color swap on the Gravity Suit.
