History

Nintendo retold the first Metroid as Metroid: Zero Mission, a 2004 remake with a map, shinespark tricks, and a stealth ending the NES game did not have. The NES original keeps its own identity beside this Game Boy Advance telling.

Samus loses the Power Suit in Chozodia and must sneak past Space Pirates in the Zero Suit. A shinespark charges off a slope, and the map marks items the original left hidden in unlabeled shafts.

Chozo statues still grant missiles and bombs, yet the route and the ending infiltration are new. Players who remember only Tourian from the NES cartridge meet an extra stealth chapter here.
