Data East's BurgerTime (1982) stars chef Peter Pepper, who walks across ingredients to stack burgers while kitchen pests chase him. Ladders link the buns, the lettuce, and the patties.
A pepper shake stuns Mr. Hot Dog, Mr. Egg, and Mr. Pickle long enough for Peter to cross a layer. Dropping a bun onto a patty builds the burger and clears that ingredient from the chase.
The arcade kitchen is the original shift. A Game Boy edition later puts Peter Pepper's ladders on a handheld.
