History

Guevara is the Japanese name of Guerrilla War (1987), SNK's top-down shooter that puts Che Guevara and Fidel in command. The Western release keeps the jungle shooting and drops those two names from the briefing.

Two soldiers advance through camps, barracks, and hostages who can be rescued or caught in the fire. Grenades clear bunkers while the pair moves up the screen.

SNK's Japanese version is explicit about the historical pair. The Western cartridge is the same style of shooting without putting Che and Fidel on the title screen.
