Warlords and Pokémon share the region of Ransei in Pokémon Conquest, a crossover with Nobunaga's Ambition. Koei Tecmo and Nintendo released the campaign in 2012. You link a warrior to a Pokémon and fight for territory.
Each warlord bonds with a partner, and the link can deepen until the pair acts as one unit. Kingdoms change hands when armies meet. There is no gym circuit and no league from the main series.
Nobunaga's Ambition supplies banners, castles, and a famous unifier as the looming rival. The creatures supply the ranks those warlords send forward. A warrior without a linked partner is not the unit the battles expect.
Koei Tecmo built the tactics, and Nintendo published them. Between fights you recruit warriors and match them to partners. Badge quests belong on other cartridges.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
