History

Upgrade wrenches and missiles sit on an overhead oval in R.C. Pro-Am, Rare's race of tiny radio-control cars. A better tire or a stronger engine, collected on the track, changes the next heat more than a perfect line alone.

Rare built the miniature motorsport for the NES. Letters and parts scattered on the asphalt are the prize, and a missile is how a rival's tiny car leaves the groove.

The game arrived in 1988 and is a step on the way to Rare's later Nintendo racing and sports work. The overhead view and the upgrade parts are this racer's identity.
