Spoken scenes and a new eighth day were added in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Atlus's 2011 remake of the tactics lockdown. A death clock on the COMP still counts toward the moment Tokyo's barrier finishes anyone left inside. The original Devil Survivor release on the earlier handheld is a separate game.
Human leaders and the demon teams under them fight on a grid. When a leader falls, that squad's contribution collapses with them. Between the story's clocks, fusion and skill cracking are how the group grows strong enough for the next timed crisis.
The eighth day runs past conclusions the first version did not contain. Lines you choose steer who lives through the lockdown. Cracking a skill off an enemy leader and fusing it onto your own team is the slow growth between those deadlines.
Atlus rebuilt the campaign and put voices on the major scenes. Tokyo's map works as a schedule: miss a place before the clock jumps and that event is gone.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
