History

An armored suit replaces the usual Tokyo teenager in Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. Atlus and Lancarse sent a strike team into the Schwarzwelt in 2010. That void hangs over Antarctica, and the expedition goes inside.

Demon fusion and alignment decide who fights beside you and how the ending falls. Law, chaos, and a neutral route diverge as the team argues about the sphere. The suit is life support and armor, not a school uniform.

Corridors are first-person and stepped, with demons striking out of the dark. Fusion spends two demons to produce another. Alignment moves when you answer people, not when you tick a box before the crawl.

Redux is a later remake with added material. The armored expedition through the Schwarzwelt is the original DS descent. Lancarse worked with Atlus on that first trip into the ice.
