History

Four bombers crowd one television in Super Bomberman once a multitap is plugged into the Super Nintendo. Hudson's 1993 cartridge is the cart that made Bomberman a living-room fixture on that hardware.

Soft blocks hide extra bombs, longer flames, and a remote detonator that lets a player choose the moment a charge explodes. The last Bomber standing wins the grid, and a kicked bomb can rebound off a wall into its owner.

A solo route exists, yet the picture people remember is four hands on the multitap. That party grid, more than any single boss, is why this Hudson cartridge stayed in the Super Nintendo lineup.
