History

Hudson let five players onto Super Bomberman 3, and the 1995 stages are themed around world cities. A multitap is assumed, and a match in a city arena is the reason to invite the extra bombers.

It continues the party design of the earlier Super Bomberman carts. Louies still appear as mounts, and a bomb kick can betray the friend who thought the tile was safe.

Story stages exist, but the five-player city bowls are the cartridge's reputation. The world-city dressing is new; the betrayal-by-bomb is the habit Hudson was extending.
