History

Exodus demands a mixed party in Ultima III: Exodus, Richard Garriott's chapter for Origin where fantasy races share one team. Fighters, wizards, and other callings march together instead of a single avatar solving every lock.

Origin published that party-based chapter in 1983, when Exodus required several races on one team. Sosaria's mixed party marks the chapter against the solo journeys around it.

Pony Canyon and FCI later brought a licensed version to the NES. The home cart carries Garriott's party and the Exodus crisis, adapted from the computer original rather than written as a new quest.
