Kurt Hectic, Doctor Hawkins, and Max the dog share the missions, and MDK 2 is BioWare's sequel to Shiny's original rather than a motion-console debut. Max the dog's close brawl hands back to Kurt's sniper chute when the level demands a distant shot.
The janitor still snipes from a ribbon chute, the scientist swaps absurd guns, and the six-legged mutt brawls in close. Levels hand the camera among those three instead of locking one hero for the whole campaign.
The release in 2000 landed on computers, Dreamcast, and PlayStation 2 before any Nintendo shelf. A later appearance did not rewrite Kurt, Hawkins, and Max or pretend the rotation started there.
