History

Murphy's cyborg walks and shoots through Data East's RoboCop, a side-scrolling arcade game taken from the film. ED-209 and street thugs break the march into shooting galleries with the film's armored silhouette.

An NES cartridge followed that coin-op, keeping the cyborg's slow advance and his pistol. The 1989 arcade design is the one the console board is adapting.

Ocean's computer versions are a separate set of licenses, not this coin-op and not this NES cart. Data East's side-scrolling Murphy is its own RoboCop, with the film's look and a different studio's stages.
