History

Dr. Wright advises the mayor in Nintendo's Super Nintendo edition of Sim City, and Bowser can strike the skyline as a disaster. It is a special edition of Will Wright's city builder from 1989, distinct from the plainer NES port.

Zones for homes, shops, and factories still demand power lines, and a rail link raises land value the way Wright's model did. The advisor's portrait pops up when traffic or crime turns sour.

Bowser's attack is a Nintendo-only calamity alongside fires and floods. The NES port lacks that king and that advisor, so this Super Nintendo city is its own municipal toy.
