History

Eugene Jarvis staged Smash TV as a lethal game show for Williams, played with twin sticks and a studio full of guns. Contestants clear a room, snatch prizes, and step through a door into the next armed set.

The 1990 cabinet throws keys and cash onto the floor while mutants pour in from every wall. A mocking host keeps score, and the map is a grid of those rooms rather than one scrolling street.

NES and Super Nintendo ports followed the cabinet's room-by-room prize grab. Both home versions keep the two-direction shooting, even when a pad has to fake the second stick.
