Konami reworked an arcade brawler into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time, and the Super Nintendo cart adds stages the cabinet never had. Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo still clear Foot soldiers, now across a time-hop that includes a prehistoric scrap and a future train.
The 1992 beat-em-up is a high point of the studio's turtle brawlers. A throw into the screen, a Technodrome showdown, and Shredder at the end keep the comic-strip violence of the arcade while the extra eras are the home cart's gift.
Two players share the same sidewalks and the same pizza health. The additional time periods are why players treat this cartridge as more than a straight copy of the coin-op.
