Iwata's swing meter and a stroke-play course define Golf (1980), the Famicom game designed with Shigeru Miyamoto and programmed by Satoru Iwata at HAL. Club selection, wind, and the lie of the ball decide the shot, and the parenthetical date on the title is not the cartridge's release.
The Famicom board reached players in 1984, with HAL's programming and Miyamoto's involvement already attached. The NES later received that same stroke-play game.
A year printed beside the name can be a catalog convenience rather than the day the first drive was sold. Iwata's meter and Miyamoto's role are the credits that identify the cartridge.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
None in this catalog yet.
No wider family is grouped for this title beyond the series list.
