Cyan Wisp lasers and other alien powers change the moves in Sonic Colors. Sonic Team's 2010 game defines itself by those Wisps, and the DS version is its own stage set rather than a shrunk Wii port.
A Wisp picked up mid-stage becomes a drill, a rocket, or a laser for a few seconds, then the stage design expects that burst. DS acts use that idea on layouts built for the handheld, not on cropped Wii tracks.
