Diddy and Dixie carry Rare's Donkey Kong Land 2, the Game Boy companion to Donkey Kong Country 2, across a new handheld map. It is a fresh layout rather than a compressed port of the Super Nintendo game, and it dates to 1996.
Dixie's helicopter hair and Diddy's cartwheel return, while the boards themselves were built for the small screen. Kaptain K. Rool waits at the end of a pirate trek that uses its own rooms.
The earlier Donkey Kong Land accompanied the first Country game. Land 2 does that job for Diddy and Dixie's adventure, with a map drawn for Game Boy.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
