History

Capcom sped the cast up and added new special moves in Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, an arcade revision from 1992 already. Chun-Li gains a fireball, and the faster walk speed changes how soon a throw is in range.

The Super Nintendo port let players use that faster ruleset at home. It is not the earlier World Warrior timing; jumps, dashes, and specials come out at the Hyper Fighting pace.

Cabinet players already knew the roster. The home attraction was having that accelerated ruleset, new specials included, on a pad.
