History

Daylight boards flip to night in Mario Party 6, Hudson's 2004 GameCube party game. Spaces change when the sun and moon trade places, and the microphone peripheral is used again for minigames that listen.

A star on a day space may not be the star you want after dusk. The cycle is the board's gimmick, and the mic is the accessory carried forward from the idea that a shout can be a button.

Hudson's day-night party is this one. The following cube party added an eighth player; this one is the board that owns a clock.
