History

Mega Man Volnutt explores a 3D town, not a side-view stage select, in Mega Man 64 (2001). Kattelox Island replaces the Robot Master select. Capcom's Nintendo 64 port of Mega Man Legends swaps the classic run-and-gun for a hub on Kattelox Island.

Roll, the Servbots, and the Flutter airship support a scavenger plot about refractors. The buster still fires, but conversation and a locked door in the city matter as much as the next boss room.

It is the Legends adventure on a cartridge. Side-scrolling Robot Master ladders are a different Mega Man.
