Snake Man and Spark Man join other borrowed bosses in Capcom's Mega Man III, a Game Boy remix tied to the NES Mega Man 3 and Mega Man 4 rosters. A new Wily capstone follows them, and the cartridge arrived in 1992.
The remix habit continues from Dr. Wily's Revenge and from the second handheld chapter. Small-screen corridors replace the full fortresses of those NES games.
Mega Man 3 and Mega Man 4 on the NES remain complete adventures of their own. Mega Man III borrows their robot masters and builds a different castle.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
