Cybeasts Gregar and Falzar split Mega Man Battle Network 6 into two cartridges, and Capcom shipped the pair in 2005 as the close of the original Battle Network story. Link Navis from earlier games join Lan once their crosses are earned. The cybeast tied to a given version changes which navis, chips, and last battles show up.
MegaMan.EXE still deletes viruses on the net while Lan operates him from the physical world. A Link Navi is playable machinery, not a portrait: after the cross is obtained, that navi can be operated and its attack brought into a folder. Gregar's roster and Falzar's roster do not match, so the two editions are a paired ending rather than copies.
Crosses alter MegaMan.EXE in a way the older Style Change system does not cover. Threads from the long netcrime saga meet the cybeasts here. Capcom treats the pair as the conclusion, with version-exclusive bosses standing in for one shared finale.
Operators who remember earlier navis see them return with actual battle roles. Picking Gregar or Falzar picks an ally list and picks the beast waiting at the end. The original story stops on this official pair.
Same series is the tight name match. Same franchise is the wider family. Same platform is other games on the systems named above.
